  • Upgrade to Blackberry or iPhone? what use think?

  • Hi all,

    my Sidekick LX 2009 screen has smashed, and i can not find a replacement! and im thinking of paying out my contract ( as i only have a few months left & it wont cost me much ) and buying a iPhone or Blackberry Curve 8900 or Blackberry Bold 9700. what use think? opinions?

  • ha, it was the first thing that popped into my mind when i was signing up, i was thinking of the Motorola Dext (cliq) but i dont like them anymore, what would you think? Blackberry or iPhone?

  • I just got the Samsung Vibrant (android) and I absolutely love it! Before this I had a Blackberry 9700 and it was alright. I've never had an iphone but I used an ipod touch for a bit and didn't care for it one bit.

  • yeah i used a HTC Dream (G1) last year for like a month while my Hiptop got fixed. It was ok, but i dont really want to use Android again... maybe in the future, but at the moment, i think ill just keep my Hiptop?

  • Before you buy the iphone you might want to read up on the problems they are having. A few of my friends have iphones and arent having a good time with it, but I know of others that are just fine. Id go BB esp if your in the business world.

  • well both my brothers have 3GS's and they love them, one of my brothers is upgrading to the iPhone 4 when it comes out and he was going to give me his 3GS, but im kinda thinking just keeping my hiptop at the moment, and then switch to Blackberry next year...

  • Just keep the 3GS when you get it. Blackberry is still having trouble with there server so why go threw the same shyt that sidekicks are going threw. The sidekick era has been over too a long time

  • i found a Unlocked Blackberry 9000 for $200AUD on eBay, its a AT&T Unlocked, i contacted the seller, they said the postage is $78USD! that is expensive, i can get a Australian model + accessories for that price on eBay.

  • What the heck!! That's insane! Do they have Australian model's of the 9700? I'd take that one over the 9000, although I do like the 9000's form factor better (minus the trackball).

  • Yeah they do have the 9700 here on Australian Carriers :)
    My dad's got the Blackberry Bold 9000 for work, i likee it alot :) idk now :(

  • I think you should go for a Blackberry Bold. Only because Iphone break easily if you drop them.

  • payed my contract out today. hardest thing i've done, but getting iPhone 4 :) preordered it.

  • I live in Australia, we dont have AT&T, but we still get a Bumper with the 5 carriers that have iPhones here :) & thanks i will :D.
